Bath Information and Data Services (BIDS)

BIDS is the best known and most widely used internet bibliographic service for the academic community in the UK. Launched in 1991, BIDS is believed to have been a world first - a national service providing widespread network access to commercially supplied bibliographic databases. BIDS also provides access to the Ingenta Journal's full text service.

Elsevier Science

The Elsevier Science homepage. This site contains a database and search engine covering the many and diverse journals published by Elsevier. Although the journals are not fully available in electronic format, the browser is able to order them on line.

Medical Device Link

Medical Device Link provides news and information for people who design, manufacture, and market medical devices. Medical Device Link compiles articles from Canon Communication's print magazines and offers a number of features exclusive to the site, including daily news and analysis, subject-based bulletin boards, and links to useful industry resources. The site also has several searchable directories.

Medical Journals

This site features a large database of online medical journals. Although it does not offer particularly advanced features, this site has an extensive database arranged alphabetically.

Medical Matrix

The Medical Matrix Project is a web resource devoted to posting, annotating, and continuously updating “full content, unrestricted access, Internet clinical medicine resources”. The site is aimed at giving medical professionals the ability to access digital clinical medicine documents during the time span of a patient visit.

National Library of Medicine

The National Library of Medicine (NLM) is the world's largest medical library. The Library collects materials in all areas of biomedicine and health care, as well as works on biomedical aspects of technology, the humanities, and the physical, life, and social sciences. Through their website, one can find information on over 3800 international medical journals.

Science Direct

ScienceDirect is your Web Information Source for scientific, technical and medical (STM) research that offers access to more than 1100 journals across 16 fields of science. The ScienceDirect platform provides users with a powerful search engine, intuitive navigation, and unprecedented access to full-text information.
