Navigation
The easiest way to navigate this site, is to select the options that you want to browse from the menu bar on the left hand side of the screen. This menu bar remains on the left of the screen no matter which section you are in. There are also several options on a menu bar at the top of the screen, including a link back to the homepage and a quick search function for the site.
Resources
Within these pages, you will find a wide variety of resources related to the medical device industry in Scotland. These resources can be generally divided in to four sections:
Search Assistant
The Search Assistant consists of a database of Company Profiles arranged alphabetically, a Web Guide containing useful internet links listed alphabetically, a Services database arranged by type of service provided, a Web Search facility for searching through the 50 000 web pages we have indexed and an Advanced Search feature that allows you to search through all our databases simultaneously .
Online Library
This section contains a range of general resources relevant to the medical device industry, these include a Bookstore, Regulatory Info, a list of Acronyms, a Glossary, a database of relevant Journals arranged by discipline and a section on frequently asked questions (FAQs).
Global Community
Here you can browse our Events Calendar, put up a message on our Bulletin Board or read through our details on the Global Partnerships MDIS have forged.
Scottish Community
The Scottish Community section brings you a host of services and information relevant to the Scottish medical devices industry. The main section includes databases of Ancillary Services categorised by type and Ancillary Suppliers arranged alphabetically, Education Information, Industry Information
and Training Resources. There is information on Development Assistance and Business Support contained within the Company Development section and the Finance & Regulatory section provides information on Visa Requirements for entering the UK, Venture Capital, Taxation, the European Union, the ISO Quality Assurance standards and CE Marking.
