| Services | With our design services, we take a collaborative approach that emphasizes value-adding activities that customers need – such as design for Six Sigma Lean and manufacturability, collaborative design support and product launch services. Our engineers link with customer design teams to support non-core but essential design services to optimize their products. Together, these design services work to incorporate cost reductions and flexibility for the life of the product, while safeguarding our customers' competitive intellectual property. Through our design for manufacturability and Lean Six Sigma services, we ensure that volume production is achieved at the lowest total cost and highest quality possible. When designing for manufacturability, we take into account all aspects important to the manufacturing process – including components, test, line layout, speed and scheduling. All this is done to lower production costs, increase yield and ensure customer products reach the market on time and on budget. We also integrate design for Lean Six Sigma practices at the outset of product development to drive out design defects and accelerate the design cycle by eliminating processes or items that cause waste. This includes the use of components from suppliers qualified for Lean Six Sigma practices. The result is increased product quality and reduced lead times, ensuring better delivery and flexibility for our customers' end-users. |
