MDIS Closed Operations on 30th September 2008
MDIS, supported by Scottish Enterprise since our foundation in 2001, has been unable to achieve a manageable balance between private sector revenue and public funding. Consequently, it took the decision to close operations on 30th September 2008.
We thank you for all your support and appreciation over the years.
With the Life Sciences continuing to be a key sector advocated by the Scottish Government, we hope that the Scottish Medtech industry will continue to be promoted and supported.
Scottish Enterprise has reviewed the delivery of its support to the Life Sciences and a new integrated programme of support is now being delivered by Targeting Innovation, one of the UKs leading innovation consultancies.
Targeting Innovation also provides sector support across both Biotechnology and Pharmaceuticals, however the Industry Associations: Bio Industry Association, Scotland (BIA); and the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry, Scotland (ABPI) do continue to provide their membership programmes.
